Cypress Library volunteer honored
Orange County Board of Supervisors gave three awards to volunteers with the O.C. Community Resources and O.C. Public Libraries with one award going to 37 year Cypress resident Constance (Connie) “Buffy” Buffkin.
Voters reject Measure A
Voters in Cypress went to the polls on Tuesday, June 25, and voted against Measure A and the proposed development of a portion of the former Los Alamitos Golf Course property.
Bronco Champions

Neighbors prepare for disaster
With a crowd of just under 200 in attendance, a second Neighbor 4 Neighbor (N4N) event was held at the Cypress Village HOA on June 8.
Measure A headed for defeat
As of Tuesday night, the vote count from the Orange County Registrar’s office was showing the Measure A in Cypress was headed for defeat by a wide margin. The no votes out numbered the yes votes by more that 2-1.
Dalton’s Restaurant burglarized on Sunday
Cypress Police officers were dispatched to Dalton’s Restaurant regarding a commercial burglary on June 23. Officers discovered the front door glass had been shattered and that a safe containing approximately $2,000 had been stolen.
Dalton’s Café burglarized
Popular family restaurant Dalton’s Café was victimized by burglars on Sunday, June 23, who smashed the front door and left with the safe.
The safe reportedly contained approximately $2,000 in cash.
Dalton’s Café owner Marlene Raynor said she received a called from the alarm company at 11:20 p.m.
“My son Dalton drove over to check the restaurant,” she said. “He saw the broken glass and called 911.”
