Overnight campout at LAE
Camping overnight at Los Alamitos Elementary School is an annual tradition that brought together approximately 100 families and 433 campers on Sept. 20 to play, eat, dance and enjoy each other’s company.

Man gets five years probation in Los Alamitos road rage case
A Bellflower man was sentenced last week to serve five years of formal probation, anger managment training and 185 days in jail for a road rage pursuit in Los Alamitos in November 2011.
Kennedy wins Empire opener
Kennedy High got its Empire League season off on a winning note as the Fighting Irish defeated Pacifica High, 43-24, in the league opener for both teams on Friday at Western High.
