Vying to be Miss La Palma

The City of La Palma announces the 2013 La Palma Pageant contestants, all seniors at John F. Kennedy High School. They are Sarah Ahumada, Sarah Anderson, Jaqueline Atwood, Gabrielle Lin, Mayssa Maring, Christine Munar, Amber Perez, Asia Scott, and Lauren Spor. The contestants will be celebrating the “We Salute You” theme this year with five competitive categories including talent, speech, evening wear, short answer, and an interview component.

The pageant winner will serve as an ambassador for the City of La Palma at various community events throughout the year. The winner and the court will make their debut at the La Palma Days Parade on Nov. 9.

The La Palma Pageant will be on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 5 p.m. at the Walter D. Elhers Community Center in Heritage Hall at 8150 Knott Avenue in Buena Park.
