New Trunk or Treat a big success

The City of Los Alamitos Recreation & Community Services Department hosted their first-ever Trunk-or-Treat featuring treasure hunts to celebrate the fall season. More than 1,100 community members dressed up and spent last Friday evening at Laurel Park. Attendees of this free community event enjoyed trick-or-treating from trunk-to-trunk, playing games, hunting for treasure, showing off their costumes, and bouncing on inflatables. The event succeeded in offering an exciting and safe Halloween alternative that was fun for the whole family.

All contributing individuals dressed up, provided a trunk and game, and handed out candy to the public. Businesses were permitted to distribute advertisements and were given an opportunity to interact with the community at large. They also competed for the “Tricked-Out Trunk” award.
