Gretchen Shegina addressed the 5th grade students and parents that the 5th grade promotion ceremony at Rossmoor Elementary School last week. More than a few parents in the audience were former pupils of Ms. Shegina. It was a heartfelt goodbye as she announced that after teaching her entire career of 48 years in the Los Alamitos School district, this would be her final year and she is retiring from teaching. Shegina is comforted by Rossmoor Principal Kiva Spiratos.
