The Blue Striker AYSO Region 154 team recently took first place for Cypress Region 154, losing only one game by a single goal. In all, the team finished with a 10-1 record. The team consists of players from Cypress, Anaheim, and Buena Park.

As a result of the girls’ hard work, they will now participate in the playoffs, which will start at the beginning of the new year.
“These girls played hard all season long and are now rewarded the opportunity to represent the [region] in area in playoffs,” first-year coach Daniel Jojola said. “These girls have shown the determination that it takes to win not only games which they’ve done but also the region as well. I’m very proud to call myself their coach and they have taught me a lot in my first year.”
