Cypress dominates Western in girls volleyball

All Cypress teams wore pink jerseys in support of "Dig Pink" night. Pictured here is the Cypress junior varsity girls volleyball team.

The Cypress Centurions beat the Western Pioneers in girls volleyball on Tuesday, Oct. 21.  After dropping the first set, Cypress went on to three straight wins to capture the match.  The Centurions came into the game ready to fight, having come off of a very tough loss to their rival, Kennedy High School, the previous week.  The day Oct. 21 was designated as “Dig Pink” night at Cypress, where the team raised money for breast cancer awareness and research.  Cypress is 4-1 in Empire League play and is tied with Pacifica for first place.
