Rotary Club recognizes student of month

The Rotary Club of Los Alamitos/Seal Beach recently recognized its Student of the Month, Marshaun Scott-Johnson.

The Rotary Club of Los Alamitos/Seal Beach recently recognized its Student of the Month, Marshaun Scott-Johnson.

Marshaun was nominated by his ROP Emergency and Medical Responder program teacher, Brad Wilson, for being an exemplary student. Marshaun attended the meeting with his mother, Jamila Allen-Scott, and sister, Kyla Scott. President-Elect Milt Houghton made the presentation during the club meeting and was joined by Superintendent Dr. Sherry Kropp along with LAUSD School Board Members Dr. Jeff Barke and Diana Hill.

The Rotary Club of Los Alamitos/ Seal Beach meets at Pike Restaurant and Grill in Los Alamitos on Tuesdays at noon. Visitors are welcome.
