Youth Center ETSY store, summons all crafters

Youth Center holds a sign encouraging participation.

The Youth Center is CALLING ALL CRAFTERS. Do you sew, crochet, knit or maybe have some other talent you would be willing to share?  Maybe you have scraps, remnants or craft supplies you’d like to get rid of that perhaps can be turned into a fundraising project.   The Youth Center announces our ETSY store.

ETSY is an American e-commerce website focused on handmade or vintage items and craft supplies.  These items fall under a wide range of categories, including jewelry, bags, clothing, home décor and furniture as well as toys, art, craft supplies and tools.   We’re looking for people who have some spare time and love making things.  You can help us raise money by selling items at our ETSY store.  Items can be for adults or children.

Due to shut down because of the Covid-19 pandemic we are looking for creative ways to fund our programs and keep The Youth Center open.  Many of our staff, who have been furloughed during this time, have stepped up to create online programming such as music courses, how-to videos, and parent resources to help kids and parents cope with the quarantine but we could use your help.  So if you are one of those crafty grandma’s who likes to crochet or knit, or a handy grandpa who knows how to make a birdhouse or a tool box kit, or maybe you’re a teenager who loves to make jewelry or decoupage.  Whatever your artsy talent might be, we could use your ideas and skills to help raise money for The Youth Center’s scholarship fund.  If you’re interested in helping, please contact us at info@theyouthcenter.org or call our office number 562-248-6777 for details.
