A suspected car thief has been located hiding in a residential neighborhood of La Palma and is now in law enforcement custody.
Javier Anguiano, 30, escaped from officer custody while at La Palma Hospital on Nov. 6 at about 1:15 a.m.
Anguiano was originally arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and dangerous drugs. He was being treated at the hospital for injuries from a traffic collision.
Anguiano was found later that day and was arrested for escape, possession of stolen vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs, and outstanding warrants.
