Rossmoor Woman’s Club fills boxes for Food Finders

Rossmoor Woman's Club

Members of the Rossmoor Woman’s Club Helping Hands section wore their masks on May 28 to fill 75 “family boxes” for Food Finders (www.foodfinders.org) at the charity’s new Los Alamitos location on Humboldt Street. Food Finders, previously based in Long Beach, was founded 1989 to “rescue” excess food from restaurants, groceries and markets and redistribute it to food pantries and other non-profit organizations. According to Food Finders’ Executive Director Diana Lara, many more families are food insecure now due to job losses resulting from the pandemic.
