Rossmoor seniors eligible for $200 gift cards

2nd District Supervisor Katrina Foley.

In collaboration with Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley (Second District) the Rossmoor Community Services District (RCSD) is pleased to announce the Senior Meal Gap Program for senior residents of Rossmoor, according to Joe Mendoza, General Manager of the Rossmoor Community Services District.

As part of the allocation through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021, RCSD has been provided with a generous grant for nutrition assistance efforts as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, he said.

According to a press release, Rossmoor residents 65 years of age and older are invited to receive a $200 Sprouts gift card. The gift cards will be distributed at the RCSD Office at Rush Park, December 13-18, 2021, from 10 a.m. – noon. One per household – and supply is limited. Proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, insurance card, car registration, etc.) and a valid driver’s license or state identification card will be required to be eligible for the gift cards.

Mendoza said in a statement that the RCSD hopes “this brings some holiday cheer to Rossmoor seniors.” For additional information, please call the RCSD Office at (562) 430-3707.
