The Rossmoor-Los Alamitos Republican Women Federated meeting on Feb. 18 at the Courtyard Marriott (5865 Katella Avenue by Valley View Street) will focus on “Education: Past and Present.”
Los Alamitos Unified School Board Superintendent Dr. Sherry Kropp will discuss challenges facing today’s educators. Rey Eskenazi will look at the 1800s, when most children learned the three R’s in a one-room schoolhouse. Plus, members who attended the inauguration of Donald Trump will share their experiences. The buffet breakfast meeting starts at 9:30 a.m. and is just $20 per person.
In addition to outstanding speakers, scrumptious breakfast and socializing with like-minded women and men, club members are also focused on ways to Make California Great Again. “We don’t want California left behind as the rest of the nation moves forward with programs that benefit the working- and middle-class,” said President Nancy Hathcock adding, “California is cloistered in failed liberal policies from education to immigration to taxes, but has the resources to help illegal criminal aliens in its sanctuary cities.”
