The Rossmoor Community Services District Board of Directors presented Weaver Elementary School Principal, Erin Kominsky with a Proclamation in Recognition of Educational Excellence.
President Michael Maynard stated, “It is my honor to present Rossmoor’s own Weaver Elementary School with this proclamation for educational excellence. “Rossmoor could not be prouder.” “Orange County is home to 379 public elementary schools.” “Being ranked number 5 by the Orange County Register is an incredible achievement. Our schools are facing tougher times than ever.” “It is important that we observe this moment and take time to recognize and acknowledge the important role of teachers in making public education great for their students.”
The board of directors echoed President Maynard’s sentiments. Kominsky was delighted to receive the award on behalf of Weaver Elementary School.

I would also like to thank our supportive parents and community leaders. This is a really great way to end the day,” Kominsky said.
In other news, Deputy Juliana Webb briefed the board on Rossmoor’s annual/quarterly crime statistics. Dorothy Fitzgerald with the Rossmoor Homeowners Association announced the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) meeting to be held on Thursday, February 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rush Park Auditorium. The meeting will feature CSLB speaker Jane Kreidler who will discuss how homeowners can protect themselves when planning a home remodel or when having other work done on a home. Reports were also received from the district’s Capital Improvement, Budget and Investment Committees.
