Los Al to form Special Olympics Tennis Team

The City of Los Alamitos is partnering with the Southern California Special Olympics to form a new Special Olympics local tennis team.  
Potential athletes and volunteers are invited to learn more about this great opportunity during the Special Olympics Open House at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9 at the Los Alamitos Community Center at 10911 Oak St. in Los Alamitos.

The Open House will offer information about the history of Special Olympics, what it takes to become a Special Olympics athlete, volunteer opportunities and requirements and information about the new Los Alamitos tennis team.
Through Special Olympics, athletes with intellectual disabilities gain confidence, self-esteem, and develop life skills in a fun, supportive team environment.
