LAEF’s after-school program is the biggest one yet

The Los Alamitos Education Foundation’s fall after-school classes are off to a great start. This fall LAEF offered over 100 classes at all nine school sites.
This is the largest After-School Program for LAEF to date. Participating children are experiencing amazing enrichment opportunities taught by credentialed and highly-qualified teachers in a class with 17 or less students.

LAEF offered many new classes this fall including Strategic Magic, Dance the Hula, Android App Development and Minecraft Creations (which gives elementary students exposure to 3D modeling and printing), along with some of the children’s favorites including art, drama, martial arts and science.
Classes are taught right on campus immediately following the end of the school day.
Parents are highly satisfied with the variety of LAEF classes this fall.  District Parent Susan Tout thanked us for “creating such a stellar roster of classes.”
Over 1,300 students are participating in classes. LAEF is facilitating even more participation now by continuing to offer additional scholarships, thanks to the support of grant donors like Run Seal Beach, Wells Fargo and the Miller Foundation.
LAEF is the non-profit partner of Los Alamitos Unified School District. LAEF enhances educational excellence by providing after-school and summer enrichment programs to children in grades Pre-K to 12.
LAEF impacts all students by providing significant funding for STEAM teachers and instruction, as well as igniting new programs and providing valuable resources.
