The Fighting Irish (2-6, 1-3) led just 7-3 heading into the fourth quarter, but scored three touchdowns in the final quarter to pull away from the Pioneers. Miles scored on runs of 61 and seven yards to give the Fighting Irish a 14-3 lead. Troy Cochran added a nine-yard run and Louie Uriarte finished the scoring with a 16 yard touchdown run late in the game.
Kennedy will look to finish strong with games against Yorba Linda and Tustin in the final two weeks. Kennedy hosts Yorba Linda on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Western High.
