Holiday post workshop works

In spite of the recent rains, Rossmoor residents braved the elements and were greeted with crystal clear blue skies for the second annual RHA Rossmoor Holiday Light Post Workshop.  This local kick-off event to the holiday season had more than 25 families walking away with a Holiday Post to decorate their front lawn.  The hard working teenage “elves” made and delivered another 35 posts over the weekend, getting Rossmoor in the spirit.

When the day was over, the best sight was seeing the Bueno Family slowly driving off in their white sedan with their hazard lights flashing, their moon roof open and the Holiday Post with garland sticking out of the top.  It was another successful Saturday at Rush Park, and another successful workshop.

These Holiday Light Posts are already sprouting up around Rossmoor, decorated in fall colors for the Thanksgiving celebration.  Residents are sure to see more going up in early December for the Christmas festivities.  So far, the streets of St. Albans, Mainway, Oak Knoll, Woodstock, Christy, and Cortese have made and ordered the most materials. There will be quite a few on Martha Ann, too.

The Most Valuable Post Builder (MVPB) award has to go to Dave Edgar, because he made five posts for himself and his neighbors on Salmon Drive.
