Hebrew High moves to a new location

Hebrew High has a new location.

The Los Alamitos Hebrew High has moved to the Hebrew Academy’s Huntington Beach large campus that has been retrofitted for safe learning.

High School students, grades 9-th-12th, can now earn foreign language credits for learning Hebrew in a safe larger Huntington Beach location. In an email to parents, the Los Alamitos Hebrew High announced that in response to the pandemic, the accredited program is moving to Huntington Beach. The email also announced that a new Jewish Philosophy course from Yeshiva University will allow students in grades 10th-12th to also earn college credits while still in High School.

According to Rabbi Marcus, director of the supplemental High School, “Hebrew High is the meaningful, accredited course that provides an excellent opportunity for our teenage students to earn foreign language credits while receiving a meaningful Hebrew education.”

The Hebrew program is offered through the Hebrew Academy of Huntington Beach, a WASC accredited Blue Ribbon school. Students who complete the requirements of Hebrew High will receive up to 10 foreign language credits per year.

The new Hebrew based Jewish philosophy course is a joint initiative of Yeshiva University and the Chabad Teen Network. Yeshiva University is the world’s premier Jewish institution for higher education. It is home to a network of undergraduate and graduate programs.

The undergraduate programs offer a unique dual curriculum comprising Jewish studies and liberal arts, sciences, and business courses. For more information visit www.MyJewishClub.com or text or call 714-828-1851.
