With an exciting win over Newport Harbor Thursday, Los Alamitos Griffin Girls’ Tennis is undefeated as it hits the halfway point of the Sunset League play. Varsity Girls won 15 matches to 3 against Newport at home and J.V. won 10 matches to 8 at Newport Harbor. This is the first time the Griffin Girls have won against Newport in fourteen years.
The win follows a decisive win over Huntington Beach Tuesday. Varsity won a blowout 18-0 and J.V. won 12-6. Two wins this week put both Varsity and J.V. teams 5-0 for the season.
