On Friday, Sept. 7, the wife of a former Cypress Mayor, Brinda Sue McCoy, was sentenced to 15 years in state prison for shooting at responding police officers after calling 911 and initiating a stand-off. While free on bail McCoy also allegedly attempted to commit suicide.
