Fallen firefighter honored in Los Al. The pipes and drums of the 100 strong collective bandmembers of the Los Angeles and California Firefighters marching bands led the way out of the expansive Cottonwood Christian Church in Los Alamitos followed by family, friends and firefighters from fire authority jurisdictions across the state in an elaborate ceremony for recently fallen LA firefighter.
 
Jonathon Flagler who succumbed in the line of duty on January 6 fighting a house fire. Firefighters honor their own in such a manner not only to remember a fallen brother or sister, but to remind those left to grieve that there is a larger family that stands behind them, says LA fire Captain David Gillotte, who eulogized the fallen firefighter at the January 21 memorial.
