The Cypress Woman’s Club recently held a successful annual tea at the Cypress Community Center with this year’s theme being the Mad Hatter’s Tea. It was the largest fundraising event of the year for the club. Dignitaries attending included Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva, Councilwoman Mariellen Yarc, and Mayor Prakash Narain.
The Cypress Woman’s Club was organized on March 7, 1966, and incorporated on Oct. 16, 1972. They are a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, California Federation of Women’s Clubs, and CFWC Orange District.
Since their inception, the club has promoted federation goals through dedication to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. The club is nearly 100 women strong and remains committed to service as they extend their reach in the community.
