The Crew, a local boys travel baseball team from Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Long Beach areas recently won the USSSA Baseball “Halloween Haunt” tournament in Fountain Valley.
The Crew, a local boys travel baseball team from Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Long Beach areas recently won the USSSA Baseball “Halloween Haunt” tournament in Fountain Valley.
The tournament featured a large bracket of 13 teams composed of 11-year-old boys with The Crew battling through five games in two days. They ultimately beat the San Pedro Pirates, 6-4 in the championship final.
This year, the tournament placed an emphasis on supporting breast cancer awareness and research by selling commemorative pink t-shirts. Each team member also purchased a shirt and incorporated it into their uniform to support the cause.
