Blue Angel pilots will fly into Los Alamitos Friday

Two members of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels will be in Los Al Friday morning.

Residents of Los Alamitos living near the Joint Forces Training Base should be aware that an F-18 Super Hornet from the U.S. Navy’s famous “Blue Angels” squadron will be landing and taking off Friday at the base, according to a spokesperson for the Great Pacific Air Show.

Blue Angel pilots Lt. Katlin Forster and Julius Bratton have agreed to fly in for media interviews well in advance of this year’s airshow, scheduled for Oct. 1-3, announced spokesperson Barbara Caruso.

They will be at the Joint Forces Training Base to meet with the media on Friday, she said.
After COVID cancelled the 2020 show, officials are starting early to promote the event.
Caruso said officials are not exactly sure of the time, or the flight path, but said “we are hoping for a beach flyover.”
