Dear Editor,
I half expected violins to pop out of the newspaper when reading the letter to the editor by Julianne and Caroline Bancroft. Sorry to make you gals upset, but ALL LIVES MATTER! Whatever your race, religion, gender or favorite sports team, ALL LIVES MATTER.
There is always room for improvement, but the United States is not a racist nation. We are a wonderful nation that welcomes all legal immigrants.
Americans are watching in horror as Black Lives Matter and Antifa groups destroy many Democrat-run cities. The destruction includes black and minority people and their homes and businesses. Don’t THEIR lives matter? Large stores can clean up the mess and reopen, but small mom-and-pop stores are gone forever. Besides businesses being destroyed, tourism is gone. Would the Bancrofts now vacation in Portland? Seattle? Chicago? Los Angeles?
No matter how many statues are destroyed, for Black Lives Matter and Antifa this won’t be over until the United States of America is destroyed. Patrisse Cullors is a Black Lives Matter founder. In 2015 she said in a Real News Network interview: “We are trained Marxists. We are super versed on ideological theories.”
People like Julianne and Caroline Bancroft are putting out the welcome mat for Marxism. What if Americans resist? On June 24, Greater New York Black Lives Matter Chairperson Hawk Newsome said: “If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking . . . figuratively. I could be speaking literally. . . I just want black liberation and black sovereignty, by any means necessary.”
Do the Bancrofts want Black Lives Matter painted on Main Street in Seal Beach? Do they want the shops at Rossmoor burned and looted? This is the world they are supporting, and it goes against everything that law-abiding citizens believe is right about this country. BLM either stands for Black Lives Matter or Burn Loot Murder. We will learn the answer on Election Day.
