Stirling to discuss military accountability on CNN May 30

Dr. Dwight Stirling testifies before a House Armed Services Subcommittee.

A Cypress man who founded the Center for Law & Military Policy will appear on a national news show focusing on accountability in the U.S. military that will air on May 30, a production company in New York has announced.

According to Morgan Fallon, the Executive Producer of the CNN show “United Shades of America,” Dwight D. Stirling, Ed.D., J.D., will appear on the May 30 show entitled “Thank you for your service.”

Stirling is an attorney and a Feres Doctrine Scholar. He also serves as a Major in the U.S. Army’s JAG Corps.

Since founding the military think tank, Stirling has become a recognized authority on military justice around the nation.

Stirling said his work is “dedicated to strengthening the legal protections of those who serve the nation in uniform.”
Producers say Stirling will be interviewed on the segment by the show’s host, W. Kamau Bell.

The segment will focus on accountability in the U.S. military, they said.
According to Stirling, the segment “looks at how service members are treated as second class citizens under the law.” The show will air on CNN Sunday, May 30 at 7 p.m. PST.
