The 40th Infantry Division announced this week that National Guard Soldier Steven Hankins, an aviation operations specialist, was promoted to the rank of sergeant during a ceremony at 40th Infantry Division Headquarters, Joint Force Training Base Los Alamitos, California, Aug. 15, 2026. The ceremony is a timed-honored Army tradition that recognizes the elevation to the Noncommissioned Officer ranks.
