The 12-year-old Los Alamitos Youth Baseball (LAYB) All Star team won the prestigious Fountain Valley-USSSA Memorial Day tournament by outscoring its opponents 48-7 in 6 games.
Each of the players recorded at least 1 hit and the team used 9 pitchers throughout the weekend to earn the title. LAYB beat Cypress 6-2 in the semifinal and East Long Beach 5-0 in the Championship game.
