La Palma to stage first-ever Festival of Nations April 30

Courtesy Photo This one-day experience will celebrate La Palma’s cultural heritage through dancing, performances, and exhibits like those pictured in this similar event.

In 2019, the La Palma City Council asked City staff to plan a new signature event to reflect La Palma’s diversity, vision, and sense of community. The City had to postpone the event in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic, but it is now back! Join us on April 30, 2022, for this one-day experience that will celebrate La Palma’s cultural heritage through dancing, performances, and exhibits.

A Hometown Parade featuring La Palma’s schools, organizations, neighborhoods, and local businesses will march down Walker Street (Houston Ave. to La Palma Ave.) starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Festival at 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Central Park. The Festival will feature fun attractions for all ages, kids-zone, Ferris wheel, petting zoo, carnival games, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and more! In addition, musical performances, dances, and exhibitions will be held throughout the day at the Central Park Pavilion.
