La Palma sets celebration to mark 150th anniversary of Arbor Day

This year marks the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day, and we want all of you to get involved in the celebration! Join your friends and family for the Arbor Day Celebration, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, starting at 4 p.m. in Central Park, 7821 Walker Street. The event will be held near the softball field with crafts, recognition of the Arbor Day Art Contest participants, and of course, the planting of a tree in the Park.

Tree Sponsorship Program: The City is seeking sponsorship from community groups, organizations, and individuals to assist with the purchase of new trees. If you or your organization is interested in becoming a Tree Sponsor for this event, please call the Community Services Department (714) 690-3350 or visit www.cityoflapalma.org/ArborDay.

Arbor Day Art & Coloring Contest: If your child or student is in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade and is interested in participating in the art and coloring contest, you may pick up a form at the Community Services Department at 7821 Walker Street or download a form from www.cityoflapalma.org/ArborDay.We hope you will join us for the Arbor Day Celebration and continue to grow the future.
