JFTB Commander to speak to Cypress Chamber

The Cypress Chamber of Commerce will welcome the current Garrison Commander of the Joint Forces Training Base, Lieutentant Colonel Daniel R. Fox at our April Networking Breakfast. Our event will be held Tuesday, April 8th at the Residence Inn by Marriott at 4931 Katella Avenue, Cypress/Los Alamitos starting at 7:30 a.m. LTC Fox will give an overview of the current operations and capabilities at the JFTB and discuss how his team supports local and state programs like the noted Sunburst Youth Academy for at risk youth. The base is also the home of STARBASE, a STEM program. LTC Fox has also been a champion of community engagement and the ongoing partnership with the communities like Cypress that surround the Joint Forces Training Base.

Lieutenant Colonel Fox is a native of San Pedro, CA. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2001 and was commisioned as an Infantry Officer through Officer Candidate School. He enlisted in the California Army National Guard in 2001 as an Infantryman, assigned to C CO, 3-160th Infantry Battalion, and deployed to Dugway Proving Grounds, UT in support of Operation Noble Eagle following the attacks of September 11th. His subsequent military career is broad and extensive and LTC Fox has earned a wide range of prestigious awards and decorations. In 2021 he was promoted to Lieutentant Colonel and assigned to the Chairman’s Joint Staff J7, Office of Irregular Warfare and Competition to serve as a Joint Strategist. He currently commands the Garrison at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos CA and is in his first-year studies at the Army War College. He is married to the former Ms. Cassandra Garrett of Athens, GA

Each Chamber breakfast attendee will also have an opportunity to stand to introduce themselves and share a little about their business before the program begins.
Reservations are highly recommended to secure your spot for the monthly breakfasts and can be made online. Cost of the breakfast is $25.00. Early Bird Registration is $20.00. Attendees are also encouraged to bring a door prize to promote their product or service. The program will include time for live networking, self-introductions, a breakfast buffet, as well as our guest speaker.
