The Huge Haunted Maze returns to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Cypress, CA on October 22, 23, 29, and 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. This year, the maze features 3,500 square feet of twists and turns making it one of the largest outdoor ghost walks in Orange County.
It’s the perfect fright for all ages. There is even a “NO SCARE” option available for the scaredy-cat in the bunch. During the “NO SCARE” option, the participant is given a light stick and the scarers become part of the background. Or go all in with in with ghouls and goblins stepping out at you when you least expect it.
For eight years, Keith Stewart has been building this attraction for the local community. “I love designing and creating the maze. Unfortunately, we had to skip last year. We are excited to bring this ghost walk back to the community for four nights of scarring.” says Stewart.
The Scouts of BSA Troop 657 participate in the design, building, and scare nights. Scouts use these service hours towards merit badges and rank advancements. Holy Cross and Bethany Lutheran Church youth groups will also be helping to build the maze and participate as scarers this year. Volunteers donate hundreds of hours to make this community event an annual tradition.
Holy Cross Lutheran Church is located at 4321 Cerritos Ave in Cypress. A $5 donation is suggested per person. For more information about the Huge Haunted Maze, call 310.357.4154 or visit facebook.com/hugehauntedmaze.
