The Griffins had four goals from Stephanie Mutafyan and two goals each from Becca Corb and Ella Weber in the win. The Griffins jumped out to a 6-3 halftime lead with a 4-1 second quarter surge.
Sarah Siepker also had a goal for the Griffins and goalie Nikki Quinn was credited with four saves. The Griffin defense held Murrieta Valley to just one second half goal.
The Griffins get back into Sunset League play this week with a game against Huntington Beach today at 7 p.m. at Newport Harbor High.
