The Los Alamitos high school wrestling team recently completed a record setting performance at the CIF-SS Master’s meet.
Los Al placed more wrestlers than any school in Orange County and placed higher than any team in the county at 4th.

The Griffins have four state qualifiers, Randy Howe (120 lbs.) placed 9th, Max Kumashiro (170 lbs.) placed 4th, Mason Kumashiro (195 lbs.) masters champion, and Alex Redmond (285 lbs.) masters champion. Mason and Alex are the first Masters champions in Los Alamitos history.
Kumashiro and Redmond each won 2-1 matches in the Masters finals. The four will advance to the State Championships in Bakersfield.
