Now located at 4545 Myra Ave., the first week was full of activities centered around partnering with the community and helping students kick off the school year. The celebration began with neighbors, community leaders and school families being invited to an Open House, where the Carl’s Jr. truck served up some delicious hamburgers. New families and old friends were able to re-connect, teachers were able to show off their classrooms and all gathered to pray for blessings and protection of the school and all of the students, teachers and staff.

Students from Pre-K through 8th grade grabbed backpacks and lunch pails and lined up as whistles blew at 8:25 a.m. … the start of the first day of school, Tuesday, Sept. 10. In reverence and remembrance of Patriot’s Day, the school family gathered to honor our country, first responders, victims and their families.

Members of Cub Scout Pack 611 led students in salutes to the American and Christian flags after helping Superintendent Dr. Don Pettinger raise brand new school flags. Grace Christian School partners with the Cypress community hosting the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts on campus, as well as hosting the American Cancer Society Relay for Life at the end of September.
