Every show since the Pandemic seems to get bigger and better, according to Cypress Art League President Pat Edep, and this fall’s recent show was just more evidence of it.
She said the the CAL is getting more submissions, a greater variety of submissions and some really talented sculptors too.
The 2026 Autumn showcase attracted hundreds of art pieces from a growing legion of artists who compete in the show, said Edep.
A beautiful, a perfect dimension acrylic piece by Tony Podue, called the “Point Fermin Lighthouse” took the “Best of Show” Award from the judges, while the Judges Award went to “The Defensive Line,” a drawing by Steven Coler.

Bob Rosenfield won the sculpting division with a beautifully sculpted cypress knee appropriately entitled “Cypress.”
In addition to thousands in prize money, Edep said the Art League handed many of the artists other valuable prizes donated by local organizations and businesses.
