At the recent WOC RWF monthly meeting Congresswoman Michelle Steel spoke to a great enthusiastic and full room of Republican Women and Men. The Congresswoman explained what it was like to be a freshman Representative in the House and how she and her staff spent their first month quarantined because she tested positive for COVID-19! She did survive the setback though and has been actively working for Making American Great Again.

She explained the frustrations with the current administration and with Nancy Pelosi the Speaker of the House. She was grateful for Kevin McCarthy for helping her to be on the Transportation Committee as that had been one of her projects as a County Supervisor. Thanks to the hard work of Steel our Orange County beaches are getting help to stop the erosion! And that is just one project she has been successfully involved in to Help the OC and our Nation!

Also on the agenda was Shawn Nelson who is running for Orange County Supreme Court Judge. Shawn gave a very educational talk about the lack of judges following current criminal law and giving light sentences to “three strikes you are out” criminals.

Nelson is currently the Department Administrator for the OC District Attorney’s Office.
The West Orange County Republican Women Federated will be hosting a Republican Candidate Forum on April 26. “We always bring candidates to our club to have a few minutes to present their platform and take questions from our membership,” commented President Nancy Hathcock.

“We are a grassroots club that is always in the forefront of bringing quality and controversial speakers to our podium” Hathcock continued.
