The Los Alamitos District PTA held its Honorary Service Awards breakfast banquet to honor and recognize the elementary, middle school and high school award recipients, as well as two awards presented by the District PTA Council Board.
The Honorary Service Awards are presented on behalf of the California State PTA to recognize the service and dedication of both individuals and organizations for outstanding service to the children and youth in our community. Funds contributed to the HSA program provide resources for the California Scholarship and Grant Program.
At Monday’s breakfast banquet, the District Council PTA, which oversees all the individual school PTA groups, handed out its Honoray Service Awards to Theresa Blankenstein and OUR Los Al members Larry Strawther and Diana Hill.
This year the nine schools (and district PTA council) which make up the Los Alamitos School District presented a total of 52 service awards to the following individuals/groups:
Hopkinson Elementary: Rebecca Maney, Lynne Kass, Maureet Wauters, Diana Amirehteshami
Lee Elementary: Debbie Denehy, Lisa Allen, Christina Fletcher, Julie Schmidt, Megal Till, Trisha Ordaz, Liz Crabtree
Los Alamitos Elementary: Susan Ferfuson, Carri Ishquair, Paul Inouye, Vicki Jimenez, Scott Ruiz
McGaugh Elementary: Carl Minniti, Jennifer Haynie, Christy Hill, Liz Dubin, Devynn’s Garden
