The Women’s Conference honored Shelley Henderson as the 2015 Woman Civic Leader of the Year and Lisa Lane of Residence Inn as the Executive Woman of the Year.

Mayor Pro Tem Mariellen Yarc stated, “Our 3rd Annual Women’s Conference was a huge success! Amanda Freed was especially motivating to the students in attendance; she is a great role model for the young women of Cypress.  Angela Madsen’s remarkable accomplishments, despite facing such adversity, were simply awe-inspiring! Next year, I hope to expand our women’s conference to include the surrounding communities so we can all join together to celebrate women.”
