In partnership with the Orange County Small Business Development Center (SBDC), the City of La Palma created a Small Business Emergency Grant Program to provide funding to small businesses needing financial assistance in overcoming the temporary loss of revenue due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
This past week, the City issued 20 checks to the business who qualified for the funding under the CARES Act program. Congratulations to La Palma’s CARES Act Funding Recipients!
Each of the following 20 businesses received a $7,500 grant to support them during the COVID-19 challenges. The grant may be used for working capital to cover the day-to-day business operating expenses such as payroll, rent/lease payments, mortgage payments, utility expenses, inventory, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), or other similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of operations.
The city received a $368,000 CARES ACT allocation from Second District Orange County Supervisor Michelle Steel which was used for the grants.
