Icon Beverages and Cigars open on Cypress
Store plans tasting events
Mayor Prakash Narain, M.D., along with council members Rob Johnson and Douglas A. Bailey were joined by representatives from Congressman Allan Lowenthal’s office, Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva’s office, and other city officials for a ribbon cutting ceremony to welcome Icon Beverages and Cigars to Cypress on Wednesday, March 20.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was a part of the City’s Sole Proprietorship – identify, realize, inspire, and transform (SPIRIT) Program, which is a business outreach program to support small businesses and sole proprietorships in Cypress.
Mr. Gurinder “Raza” Bains is Icon’s store manager, and has over 10 years of experience in the industry. Starting an establishment like Icon Beverages has been Raza’s dream since he moved to the United States from India 18 years ago.
Raza and his staff take great pride in outstanding customer service, and offering products that provide the best value for customers.
Icon Beverages and Cigars is a unique establishment, offering beer enthusiasts 500 varieties of beer to choose from. In addition to the wide selection of wine and spirits, Icon also offers tasting events. The next event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16.
