Voting underway for the Nov. 3 election

0

According to the Orange County Registrar of Voters, ballots are beginning to trickle in as voting is now underway for the Nov. 3 election, which will select a new Governor, statewide and local officials and dozens of ballot measures.

Even for those who study the ballots and make their choices in advance, this year’s lengthy ballot could take a while.
However, with high interest in the turnout of the fall elections, the OC Registrar has not officially predicted the turnout, but has issued a statement regarding the integrity of every vote.

“Orange County Registrar of Voters is committed to protecting each voter’s right to cast a ballot easily and securely,” said OC Registrar Bob Page in a statement. While almost 43 percent of voters turned out to vote in the Primary election, observers say turnout could easily exceed that figure in the general election Nov. 3.

Here are the statewide and local candidates on the ballot this fall.
