Summer Festivities at St. Isidore

One of the volunteer saviors of St. Isidore Historical Plaza is duly laboring to establish a location for memorial bricks to be laid at the plaza. While Don Farrell was power washing a portion of the cement near the patio for the memorial bricks, he unearthed a testament to St. Isidore’s men of yore. Someone had set in the cement a date and notation as to when the cement had been laid. A touching bit of nostalgia for St. Isidore.

There is a food truck fair in the vicinity of St. Isidore every Thursday evening starting at 5:30 p.m. Food is great and everyone is invited. St. Isidore, at the same time, hosts a Beer and Wine Garden with ample space for seating and enjoying the Truck Fair fare. Every Thursday, there is entertainment at St. Isidore Historical Plaza donated by musical groups who are trying to help save the plaza. At last Thursday’s truck fair, Club Caribe, pictured above, was playing their signature music for everyone’s enjoyment. On a daily agenda, St. Isidore welcomes all to come and enjoy the solace and tranquility that is St. Isidore. The Plaza is located at 10961 Reagan Street in Los Alamitos. Telephone: 562-596-9918.
