Last year’s first prize salsa winner went to Santana’s Salsa. According to this longtime Cypress family, the Santanas were raised in Cypress. They have competed in the salsa competition since 2003. Trini refused to say what their special ingredient is – but she did say that the Santana family looks forward to having a “big ol’family day” at this year’s Cypress Community Festival.
