Residents rock out in Rossmoor

Summer has officially begun and the desire to take advantage of the late sunsets and warm weather brought back the Rossmoor Concert in the Park series. The series kicked off on Friday with a tribute to the Bob Seger Band called “Turn the Page,” performed by the Sam Morrison Band.

The stage and sound set up allowed concert-goers to sit back in the shade of the trees and still enjoy the music. Meanwhile a few obvious Seger fans got up close enough to feel the music and sing along.

The concert is part of the Rossmoor Movies and Music in the Park program. Upcoming shows include the movie, “Dolphin Tale” on July 20 at dusk and the Elm Street Band on July 27, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Rush Park. The City of Los Alamitos will host a movie at Laurel Park on Saturday July 14, with the showing of “Back to the Future,” at 6:30 p.m.
