Each service dog is tailored to fit the needs of the veteran.  For many veterans the war never ends after they come home.  Many struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) causing depression, anger, sleeplessness, anxiety and suicide.
Each day 22 veterans take there own lives.  The Patriotic Service Dog Foundation’s goal is to reduce that statistic from “22 to zero”
As the club sat and listened to Tom and his veteran trainer talk about this organization and the silent suffering a soldier goes through I was saddened that more couldn’t be done as part of their rehabilitation upon returning from deployment.
