Between the dates of February 17, 2013 and September 2, 2013, the Cypress Police Department received numerous reports of vandalism from victims who had tires slashed on their parked vehicles.  These incidents all occurred in the south-end of the city, near the area of Valley View Street and Orangewood Avenue.  Eventually the suspect’s actions were caught on a residential video surveillance camera, which ultimately led to his identification.

After a thorough investigation, Detectives arrested Michael Holmes (D.O.B. 5-6-67) on November 21, 2013 for felony vandalism.  In all, thirty-one victims were located and the total damage exceeded $8,000.00.  Michael Holmes is currently being held at the Orange County Jail for the charge of P.C. 594a(b)(1) – Felony Vandalism and his bail is set at $100,000.
