It was a night of friendship, good times, and fundraising as the Li’l Cottonwood Preschool held its annual Auction Dinner on Feb. 3 at the Don the Beachcomber Restaurant. Kicked off by a delicious sampling of Hors D’oeuvres, the night had silent and live auctions, plenty of opportunity drawings, and a popular photobooth. Marked with wit and hilarious commentaries, Jared Gustafson was the auctioneer while Chris Anderson entertained with highly-acclaimed rock-n-roll songs.

“It was amazing seeing friends and family bidding on items we worked so hard to get. Just like the school itself, this auction was a group effort where alumni, Mrs. Donahue, parents, and businesses came together for the kids,” said Annie De Witt, the auction chair.
From museum tickets to specialty classes, and a variety of restaurant gift cards, the auction had something for everyone. Popular items included play dates with the teacher, Mrs. Vicki Donahue, and an African Safari. The auction generated over $15,000.
“It was a huge success. The auction team went over and beyond all expectations. We were facing a major budget shortfall because our senior class could not be filled to capacity. Annie and the Auction Team saved us this year,” said Romulo and Sandra Broas, the treasurers.
