Tamiami PONY Baseball, of Miami, captured the Bronco Division World Series on Sunday at Los Alamitos Youth Baseball Fields, with a 14-4 win over Los Mochis Mexico.

The Los Alamitos Bronco All-Stars made a strong run to the semifinals before falling to Mexico, 4-0, earlier in the day on Sunday. Los Alamitos defeated West Raleigh, NC, in their first round game by the score of 4-3 on Friday.

In their second game, the Los Alamitos squad broke loose for an 11-5 win over Evansville East of Indiana. That win moved Los Alamitos into the semifinals where they faced Mexico, which had battled out of the elimination bracket, after a first round loss to Evansville. Los Mochis handed the Los Ala team its first loss with an 11-8 win on Saturday. That set up a final rematch showdown between the two teams.

Meanwhile, Tamiami rolled through its bracket undefeated and was waiting and well rested for Mexico in the finals.
